My oh My oh My!

People of the tinterweb it has been a long while and have I had an epic couple of weeks!  To surmise I have gone from the buffer zone in Cyprus to trendy East London then off to the World cup in Dubai.  All very interesting and fabulous in their own right.  I'll start with most recent.

So when asked to assist a very well know and respected choreographer Natricia Bernard I jumped at the chance.  I didnt really have a clue what the job was really or what I would be doing but it was a trip to Dubai right?  Can we talk about the fact that I was one of three assistants Helen Soraya and Anthony Trahearn to the creative director of the Dubai World cup!  Pretty huge scale job really and I'm not going to lie when I received all necessary equipment for the job, huge folder, Dubai phone walkie talkie I felt a little tight of stomach.

Byerly Turk show horse.  Behaind the fabric there were 26 police cadets harnest up and ready to rock!

Yes I had to go up on the horse to, scary!

Muses. They went up 60 feet!!!

Sports stage.
View from production room.

Motley crew. Me, Helen Soraya, Anthony Trahern and Natricia Bernard (choreographer)
Stylist Hannah looking super cool in the sweltering heat.
As you can imagine the races were full of outfits.  Some absolutely fabulous some not so much.  There were fascinating Fascinators, your classic race goers and your trend setters.
It was an all day event so I got in early for the photos as the bubbly was flowing and later I wanted to enjoy Jessie J live, the 20 minute fire works and Seb Fontaine.  Plus by 10pm most people were in a drunken stupor with their amazing stacked heels violently discarded.
Love this girls look, you could slot her into London, New york love it!

Best hat awards.

Trendy young ladies.

It seems the boys were out in full effect in East London earlier this month. Check out these two cool dudes.

Yes shinny gold suit and you know what it worked!

Love his style.

Dust Free!

Yo tinterweb massive I've been away for a while but I'm back and raring to write, blog and buy!

Believe it or not I've been in Afghanistan.  Yes I know a random place for someone as cute and stylish as me to be but I was there for ten days helping entertain the troops, boosting morale as they say.  All in a dancer type fashion.  Above board may I add.  A group of fifteen, three dancers, four band members, two comedians and some techies. It's not the first time I have been, well actually it's was the seventh.  I'm a veteran.  I had a great time even though at some points its was hard work.  I mean having hundreds of soldiers cheering for you and getting to drive trucks and see a country not many people get the chance to see, really hard.

Now although the job has its rewards I had spent ten days in easy to wear comfortable clothes that I wouldn't mind getting mud and dust allover, TEN DAYS! Bit to long for someone of my disposition.
A big truck (can't remember the name) with soldiers and us lot on it.

A very engaging crowd.

So After tens days of dust mud and snow I needed a fashion fix but like many people I'm sure this time of year is all a bit confusing.  I'm a little fed up of hats gloves and scarves.  There are fashion weeks and red carpets on every magazine cover and channel.  All I want to do is get my new season on but alas it's still cold, 6c to be precise.  So instead I took an element of the new seasons fashions "70's" and chucked in a little winter warmer and tada ensemble below!  Picture this with a centre parting bone straight hair, 70's style head band (around forehead) leggings and over the knee flat leather boots.
Fur waist coat from a market in Mumbai.  Leather jacket Kate Moss for Topshop.
My first new season buy.  Love love love this skirt.  High waisted neon pink suede skirt.  You may be able to see it's crushed this is because it went out on the town and had a great time and may it have many more!

What a mix

Hey yo, I've been out and about over the last couple of weeks watching, wondering, analysing, admiring.  At work my eyes are generally impressed by the creativeness of the peoples attire and minds.  At play I am impress in a whole other way.   I absolutely love how different people interpret current fashions.  I'm sure you are all aware of how eclectic London is.  We have lots of different types of people.  In little less than half  an hour you can go from seeing Ghettoites with their jeans around their butts and girls with kiss curls and four bunches on their heads (this was me in my youth by the way) to wanna be muso's with their skinny jeans and girls with hair back combed within an inch of it's Elenette covered life Amy Winehouse style.  The thing is all of these people generally shop at the same pool of high street places.  It is simply in the way these individual groups chose to change the way a garment it worn and the attitude behind it.  It's so nice to see the similarities and differences between these groups.

This girl looks super cool and was obviously near the front of the queue when looks were being given out.  Check out her coat. On her coolly slung over some jeans and a hoodie but I could also see it on a city worker over a pencil skirt suit.
Cool and gorgeous chick at Dance Attic.

I call this girl "The ghetto princess". You had to be there she was wicked.  It was here 21st birthday, she had her own paparazzi. A lovely bubbly personality and so happy in her own skin at her age. n
Nice.

Natricia Bernard's shoe boots. Don't take them off girl I'll steal them!

Now we've all seen this look on men and women but I just love the way this girl added a fascinatot to top it off.

Liked the hair the jacket and the necklaces.
I'm off on some travels soon.  Lets see what I can see!

Stylista

All work and no play makes Claudia a little dull but it didn't take much for me to get inspired I tell ya!

Now I know the Golden Globes red carpet has been torn to pieces andthen put back together 6 million times already this week but can everyone please give Helena Bonham Carter a break.  She's a grown woman who knows her own mind and she quite clearly does not want to conform and I for one say knock yourself out Helena sweet heart you cheered up my telly watching!  I have nothing but respect for someone who does their fashion thing with no regard for popularity.
Salute you H B C!

Did a shoot this week for programme set in the 40's.  Costumes were very interesting.  We all looked like our grandparents very erie but nice. Picked my favourite costume and hair for you.

Worked with a great group of peeps on a shoot.  Customised, sourced and borrowed(from myself) and the results were amazing! Here are a few action shots from the day and official pictures to follow, can't wait.  The model Andy was fierce with our help of course!

Danielle Everitt very talented make up artiste and I hard at work.

Ha ha those jeans are mine and they fit her!  Final shots will feature super hot on trend Jewelery by Lovestone.

Love a Dancer!x

For all those that thought the festivities were over you are wrong!  I didn't realise how many birthdays and Chrimbo/end of year parties there were left! Suffice to say the beginning of 2011 has pretty much been like the end of 2010, very merry.

Now I have been in show biz for a while but have never really done a huge amount of socialising with my fellow dancers. I few at a time maybe but that's it. I was so missing out! I love them.  It has been a mash up of amazing outfits hot bodies and smiley faces.  So this blog is for you Dancers.  I salute you. We strive, we train (sometimes), we continuously analyse, we doubt, we have confidence unknown to mere mortals, we long, we enjoy the high life (without celeb £) but most of all we dance our asses off whether working or not and look super hot while doing it.  I thank you.  Check them out.

SSHHEESSS BAAACCKK!!!

Waassuup! Happy New Year folks! I have been off the radar for a minute but I'm back a little bit heavier and rearing to go! I have had a lovely couple of weeks what with Chrimbo and  my New Years trip to Dubai land.  I can't help but feel great full for all my blessing and the crazy but quite delightful people that are in my life and cross my path.
Right soppy shizzle done with down to the nitty gritty.

Now I couldn't let the season go by without picture of some food so here

Capone wrapped in a gorgeous silver fabric, Salmon sitting on an edgy black tray.

Saw these shoes in Kurt Geiger at the Emirates mall.  Suede with Swarovski crystals. Lovely.

The old Burj Khalifa

Ah fishes, Aquarium in the middle of my shopping experience.

New Years was brought in at The Cellar in The Irish village in Dubai. Dinner, drinks and dancing. Very good well rehearsed combination.
Me , Lisa Marshall, Jane Victory and Lisa's mum.

Dress Asos, shoes old faithful Vivienne Westwood for Melissa (or the other way around never remember).

After a relaxing day at Jumeria beach we take a stroll leisurely looking for a taxi and who do we bump into? None other than the Mr Eubanks.  How random. Yes I know I look like a hot mess but what could I do, just walk on by? Hell to the no but shame on me.   He was a very polite man just chilling with his kids not a cravat or a over sized truck in sight!
Me and Chris Eubanks, JBR

Shirt H&M, trousers American apparel or course! Shoes you know, attitude home grown baby!
