Nearly made it!

Hey fabulous people!  We have nearly made it through the month of January!  I say this as most people find this month pretty hard going from the 5 week month to the weather and lack of festivities there were in December.  Fear not if you are struggling as next week heralds the beautiful month of February and we can all truly get stuck in to 2013.
For me this is the first January I have had off in years so it seemed only fitting to make the most of this time and truly chill, socialise, yogi it up and of course do a little shop.

I am totally loving the monochrome coming through for the spring.  We have seen a lot of this in the past but this time around we have plethora of thick stripes.  Check out this Asos take on the trend http://www.asos.com/Fashion-Online-9/Cat/pgecategory.aspx?cid=13506&via=top .

Prada SS13 manages to do monochrome and colour block fabulously with a flower detail that is seen through the range.  I am in total love with this dress and have always been a big fan of heels and socks.

For my take on monochrome I have opted for one of my favourites polka dots, large ones.  The pyjama look from the catwalks last year really caught my eye as the idea of looking chic and being comfortable totally appeals to me.  For good measures I have popped a little neon in there to as I will always be a fan.

Along with most of the country I started my new year with healthy regime, for me this meant Hot Yoga.  I have frequented the Breeze establishment in Beckenham for over a year and decided to take advantage of their £40 for two weeks unlimited use to try some new classes.  My favourites being Hot Forrest yoga and hot Ballet concentrating on the core and legs and bums.  Now as it's a new year and on account of me being open to all things this year I thought I'd try a 12 hour Gong bath at said establishment.  What is this you may ask, well here's a break down.
Mercury/Chiron Gong Bath
- Kundalini Yoga in the hot studio
- Shower and break to refresh
- Yogic sleep

- Sedna Gong bath
- Chanting
- Deep relaxation
- Earth Gong
- Sun Gong at the exact time of the Leo Full Moon

From 2am, Gong baths and the opportunity to sleep if needed.
Now being a natural skeptic I was dubious but decided to go for it anyway.  I came out relaxed but a little confused and disappointed I didn't have a huge epiphany(I expect to have one a week)  but after a nap at home felt very refreshed and ready for the rest of my week.  The guys running the evening were great.  Mark who talked us through the evening and played the Gong a bearded yogi with salt and pepper hair and a cockney twang and Anna the softly spoken yoga teacher who put us through out paces.  Who knows if any deep changes have happen within but no matter as I had fun and did something new.  Would definitely recommend if you want 12 hours to yourself and enjoy yoga!
