Inspiration

So my lack of blogging status over the last few weeks has been due to lack of inspiration. The reason for this I'm sure I know but there are no excuses really when I have been around some truly inspiring people at work and play.
After this weekends atrocious events, the Norway massacre and the death of Amy Winehouse I had to have a word with myself.
First and formost I had the privilge of working with up and coming artist Amina Bryant who just happens to be a long lost relative.  She approached me to work with her on her new video for soon to be released single "Why You Do That".  Now I have never really been to interested in choreography but after hearing the track(a mix between pop reggae. Others may say different. I mean, I no music genre expert) I had to get involved.  In rehearsals there was this unassuming, sweet slightly shy girl that I hadn't seen for like 15 years, we both left happy. Come shoot day a star arrived.  She is an absolute stunner that brought a freshness with just the right amount of edge.  The video location was one of Britain's amazing beaches, Hastings a place I will definitely be going back to this summer but my favourite part of the day? Getting to dance in the sea like Jlo!  Take a look and the single is out Wednesday 27th July.  Pre order now you'll love it.  bit.ly/mT2wN6

The stylist Simone did an amazing job. Check out the shoes! Jimmy's,  Louboutin's, D-Squared. Was in shoe heaven!
Custom made shoes by Sofia Grace.  Amina your so lucky,I want some!

Sunday brought lots of socialising.  First dinner at Kettners Soho with the girls which incidentally does a great deal of three courses for £20.  Yes I had all three and loved it.  Then it was off to "Windmill" to watch "The Girly show".
The venue was very intimate with just the right atmosphere for the show.
These "Girly's" are drop dead gorgeous with amazing dance talents.  The show looked effortlessly glamourous but I know the girls have worked really hard. Congrats!  Not going to lie they made me want to stick some weave in and jump on stage! I didn't as I'm sure security would have had words.
I'm upset slightly with my photo skillz for the night as I was trying to watch and shoot. So need a photographer following me around.
Girly's doing there thing.

Immodisty Blaizs Tantalised the audience.

Cheeky!
Loved this scene! Diet coke break time.  Check out the pink helmets!

Bad photo but you get the gist.
Sooo the weekend was a sad one but has put life into perspective.  I'm going to love and appreciate everything I can and if you see me around town with a dull look on my face you remind me of this statement!

It's a London thing

I am loving London at the mo.  It's been the first time in a long time that I have made a point of appreciating my city, granted more than not I'm not in it but as I'm grounded for a while I have made it my mission to see what London has to offer a gal like me and freeness is the key.
I started out slow the parks Hyde, Brockwell and Dulwich and there is much to be said for the local park.  People tended to be a bit more considerate and put on swim wear rather than just strip down to their underwear (Hyde park) and flaunt about on their communication devices.  Made for great free entertainment though and if your there during festival time ie. Wireless or the like you get a great vibe inside and outside of the venue.
Little bit of park candy

Soo after getting it into my mind that free fun is the way forward I had a look for a few activities and what did I find? A chance to surf in the middle of London so I signed up.
Urban surf is a promotion going on this week  near Liverpool St. It is actually promoting a drink brand but to do so they are giving free sessions on this Urban surf machine. I have never Surfed, Snow boarded or skated boarded before but I am a Dancer I have good balance right? Ha! I was a hot wet mess but had the best day, specially as after battering your body trying to stay on various shaped boards you can then get a free massage and beverage of choice (mine being a Rose).
Check out my skillz

I got skillz!

Maybe not!

Last but not least I had the opportunity to have a look around CosProps in Holloway.  It's the kind of place you could lose your self in all day trying on costumes from every era but my favourite section was this accessories room, look closely the pieces were amazing!
